WHY CHOOSE CUSTOM COLOUR BATHROOM & LAUNDRY Furniture

While browsing our Michel César, Laundry and Burlington collections, you may find a design you fall in love with, but the finish may not complement your space or simply isn’t to your taste. This is why we offer a Custom Colour service which can be tailored to suit your style, with a choice of any colour, from all major paint suppliers, in a matte, gloss or metallic finish. You can trust our experienced technicians hand-finish your bespoke piece with careful attention to detail and quality, to be enjoyed for years to come.

How to make Custom Colour work for you

Adding colour to furniture can be intimidating, but it doesn’t need to be. Trust yourself on this one; there may be some hints around your home you already like. Otherwise, here are some handy tips for choosing a colour scheme that works for you:

  1. Colour can influence your mood and truly transform a space, so start with the feeling you want to create. Does a space that feels, fresh and light resonate with you, or do you prefer earth tones with relaxed warmth. Alternatively, you may find traditional spaces with jewel tones to be elegant, classic, and homely.
  2. Consider the undertone, this can be carried throughout the space with wood and metal accents that emphasise the feeling you want to create. Cool colours work well with cool toned wood and chrome, while warm, in turn, complements warm wood and brass tones.
  3. Look for inspiration, articles, and images to help you find what want to convey, and of course, provide inspiration, with colours and combinations you may not have considered. See our Pinterest and ArchiPro for more Custom Colour inspiration.

Make IT YOURS

With Bath Co’s Custom Colour service, you’re not getting a standard white or wood look finish. Our speciality service gives you the chance to create a unique piece that truly reflects your taste. Follow these simple steps to create Custom Colour furniture that you love and suits your needs. We can’t wait to see your vision come to life!

STEP 1. CHOOSE YOUR STYLE

We are proud to offer our Custom Colour service for selected styles from the Michel César, Laundry and Burlington collections.

Enhance a traditional bathroom with a pop of colour on a Burlington bath or English Classic vanity. For a designer finish, seamlessly blend Custom Colour with real Timber Veneer finishes from our Michel César collection, or use colour in your laundry to create a joyful space that you look forward to using daily.

See our latest catalogues for inspiration.

STEP 2. PICK YOUR COLOUR

Did you know, we can colour match almost any swatch from major paint manufacturers!

Create a cohesive feel by pulling colours from other elements of your home, or let your creativity lead with nearly unlimited options. As with any paint colour, check your swatch in the bathroom or laundry it will be in, as the colour may appear darker or lighter. Hold the swatch at the level it will be viewed from, with both natural and artificial lighting. Please note, online swatches may vary in person.

Once you have chosen a colour, simply provide the manufacturer and colour name, then we will match it.

STEP 3. SELECT YOUR FINISH

Choose from multiple finishes, matte, gloss, or metallic, with our Michel César and Laundry collection. The Burlington furniture is available in a matte finish, while baths can be ordered in a matte or gloss finish. Experience our various finishes in person at our Christchurch or Auckland showroom, or at your nearest Bath Co supplier.

 Enjoy Your Custom Colour Furniture

Once your order has been processed, our paint supplier will match your Custom Colour swatch and prepare the paint for our team to begin the paint process. The piece is then sprayed, finished, and buffed if required. Lastly, we carefully assemble, package, and arrange delivery of your Custom Colour furniture. Learn more about our hand-finished process below.

OUR HAND-FINISHED PROCESS

Bath Co’s high-tech paint process, quality coatings and experienced technicians ensure all Custom Colour finishes are applied to an exceptional standard.

All Custom Colour furniture is hand-sprayed by one of our technicians, in our speciality paint booth. Each Custom Colour panel has a minimum of 4 coats on the exterior and 2 coats internally. These panels then dry overnight before they are hand-buffed, if required. Lastly, the unit is assembled by our team and carefully packaged for delivery.

Each Custom Colour piece is finished with precision and care, to last for years to come. Our polyurethane finish is harder than traditionally lacquered painted surfaces and is backed by our 5-year warranty*.

 *Subject to warranty conditions

A NOTE ON SUSTAINABILITY & our paint process

Our ongoing commitment to the environment means Bath Co follows best practice in all aspects of the manufacturing process to create efficiencies, reduce waste and minimise our footprint.

In terms of our Custom Colour service, we start by ordering small quantities of Custom Colour to reduce waste. The panels are then sprayed, where any overspray is filtered through special filter media before it reaches the general atmosphere. We use polyurethane coating with zero formaldehyde and minimal use of aromatic solvents. Any unused coatings are returned to our supplier where solvents are extracted and reused. Leaving non-hazardous waste.

Bath Co is proud to offer unique, quality paint finishes with our Custom Colour service, designed to last, with a considered environmental approach.
